Clinical utility

Useful for identification of antigens present in paraffin-embedded tissues. Selected IHC panels may aid in the proper identification and subclassification of various tumors. Helpful in characterizing germ cell tumors and in establishing liver histogenesis.

Collection Instruction

Submit formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tumor tissue blocks,
ambient or refrigerated. Shipping on cold pack is recommended during
warm weather months. Ship by overnight courier to Specialty.
Alternate specimen: Submit minimum of 4 UNSTAINED, positively charged
slides for 1 IHC stain and 1 extra slide for each additional
stain ordered.
