Clinical utility

Diagnose Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and pernicious anemia, both of which exhibit high gastrin levels. Evaluate patients with severe duodenal ulcer or recurrent symptoms after gastric surgery; evaluate achlorhydria.

Collection Instruction

Patient should fast 12 hours prior to collection. Split
serum into 2 plastic vials before freezing.
